The Future Book Arrives on Aug 26!

by C:F Team on 23rd August, 2010 at 12:21 PM CEST

Challenge:Future is very happy to announce that The Future Book is on the verge of being born!

What is The Future Book?

We have envisioned The Future Book as a “food for thoughts” publication, aimed at providing real diversity of articles and perspectives that make you pause, think, and aspire to start the change. This book, consisting of 127 contributors from 37 countries, not only echoes the voice of youths around the world, but also represents the vision and dreams for the future. On top of all that, The Future Book is also a vivid reflection of everything C:F from the 2009/10 competition year.

How/when can I read The Future Book?

On August 26, the electronic version of The Future Book will be available on our platform, free for everyone to read online. You can download the pdf version of the Future Book too, if you want to read it on-the-go. There is also a hardcopy version of "The Future book" which is printed on paper made by a manufacturer supervised by the Forest Stewardshp Council (FSC). And if you are one of the lucky winners of our Quick challenge/Survey last year or a contributor of the book, you will receive a printed copy of the book as soon as we are able to send them out. We then suggest that you share the book amongst your friends instead of making them green with envy. :)

Be a part of The Future Book!

Since the electronic version of The Future Book will have comment function below each featured article, you can still participate in the making of The Future Book by sharing your thoughts and comments. What's more, since the goal of Challenge:Future is to spread the awareness of sustainability, we invite you to name three most influential decision-makers (scientists, NGOs, businessmen, politicians, etc) within your community or country that should read The Future Book. Tell us the names of those decision-makers and the reason you think they should read this book in the comments below or by email.

Excellent idea of adding comments online! Congratulations for all this effort, C:F has become a think tank for global youth and catalyst generator for sustainable initiatives ;-)

I will keep looking forward to the launch of the Future Book!!!

People I think should read this book:

Mr. José Zaglul, President of EARTH University. Mr. Zaglul guides one of the most environmental and sustainable leader Universities in Latin America and the Caribbean: EARTH. Impacting young leaders to generate positive changes in their community of origin.

Mr. Joshua Arnow, Director of The Sustainability Laboratories. Mr. Arnow
is a visionary and devoted to support initiatives that advance humanity’s
transition to sustainability. He is a philantropist and businessman locally engaged in his community and globally involved in projects towards making the world work for 100% of humanity.

Mr. Jake Kheel, Director of PUNTACANA Ecological Foundation. Mr. Kheel is
a businessman, Director of one of the most prominent environmentalist
organizations of the tourism sector in the Dominican Republic; a branch of GRUPO PUNTACANA; developing projects in the sphere of sustainable agriculture, Zero waste, recycling, community engagement, and marine conservation.

I sincerely hope these leaders could read this so valuable book.

All the best!
