Earth Day live webcast

by C:F Team on 19th April, 2011 at 4:46 PM CEST

Do you know that Earth’s birthday is coming soon? Yes, there is a unique day every year that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for our Mother Earth and the natural environment. April 22 has been designated by United Nations as International Mother Earth Day and it’s celebrated in more than 175 countries each year. What are you going to do for Earth’s Day?

We invite you to take part in a special Challenge:Future event created by the Izmir University of Economics Chapter on April 22, 2011. “The Earth and Youth: What can Youth do for a Sustainable Future” webcast starts at 16:30 CEST and you’ll be able to view it live at: http://video.ieu.edu.tr (link available soon). For one hour you’ll join the discussion on how to be more caring towards Earth, what can you do to make people around you more aware and what are the green hot topics for youth today. Get to meet other young people that have decided to make the difference and do something for our Earth’s sustainable future.

Do you have any questions or any topic that you’d like to be addressed during the webcast? Just send your ideas to damla[at]challengefuture[dot]org and you might see your question going live!

So, remember the important dates: April 22, 2011 at 16:30 CEST, online webcast here (available soon).

See you online!

thats really good to hear...

we can do brainstorming what we can do to make our environment eco friendly n than we can write a letter of some meaningful idea to local superintendant ...

i was just cheaking out my calendar n i have found that this time earth day is on our religious holiday "good friday"...

on good friday there is holiday ..some of people do belive it as "fast day" n dont eat meat on that day...

can we do that some days from week or months as per choice n on that day we become vegetarian?
some days from week or months we use cycle or walk instead of wasting petrol?
we care for nature n we can contribute by recalling all our tip of week n other articles from we can inspire to b ecofriendly
