by C:F Team on 20th April, 2011 at 3:27 PM CEST

Hey Semifinalists!

How are you doing? Excited you made it to the Semifinals? We really are! Congrats once again for getting to this point! This means for sure at least one thing: that you have interesting solutions, innovative ideas and a good team. The real challenge starts now - and there shouldn’t be anything to stop you to reach the Finals and get your hands on the EUR 20.000 Grand Award!

Remember we mentioned something about Hollywood in the Full Competition Brief? Time has come to tell you the entire story. And the news is even better, so take a seat and hold on to something!

How about combining the classy, extravagant and famous atmosphere of Hollywood with the greatness, imposing and majestic grounds of New York? All in one for a lifetime experience in the US! Interested already?

Here’s the full story: As a part of your Semifinals submission you are required to create a video about your idea, using your best thinking, material from the interview, along with community’s and judges’ feedback from the First Round. With a maximum length of 3 minutes, the video has to be moving, daring, visionary, and inspiring as it will be the main tool for getting the votes of the community.

And now the big news! Each year, producers, journalists, and other media professionals get together in the mountains of New York state for a world summit titled Images and Voices of Hope. Organized by a remarkable dialogue community dedicated to media as an agent of world benefit, the Summit is a perfect reflection of the 2011/12 C:F Competition Theme of Fun + Meaning2 = 2030.

A separate judging panel of world-class media professionals will select one best video among your submissions for the C:F Semifinals. They will look for innovation, inspiration, teamwork and fun – and their score will not be influenced by community votes or opinions of the expert judges of the main competition. The team behind the video will send ONE PERSON to the IVOH World Summit 2011 to take a trip of a lifetime to the United States. Yes, the travel, accommodation and food is on us.

Sounds interesting and exciting? Start rolling your ideas and create an amazing video as the trip of your lifetime is waiting for you! Remember you can submit your Semi-Finals solution together with the video between June 1st and June 15th, 2011.

Good luck and great inspiration!

I think sending just one person of a team is in a contradiction with the team spirit of Challenge Future. The prize is very generous and great, but it's going to be very hard to chose just one to go.

i agree with Ezgi.. every member of a team worked really hard to get the best.. sending only one member would not be fine with others.
