Power Reloaded - C:F Chapters

by Zhikica Pagovski on 29th September, 2011 at 4:04 PM CEST

One more exciting and productive year is ahead of the C:F Chapters. Improving the old practices, creating new projects, chapters, and excitements, the Chapters Network will continue to inspire local change, motivate global collaboration, engage youth talents, and support C:F activities.

What will we remember?

In January 2011, the experiment called “C:F Chapters Network” was launched within schools where we had C:F 2010 Summit & Competition alumni. In June 2012, after 6 months of active work, the C:F Chapters Network implemented two collaborative projects (The Future Report and The Earth Day), hosted two online lectures (De Bono’s Creative Thinking and Learning & Change), many inter-chapters challenges, and bunch of local events in more than 20 chapters on 5 continents, having recruited more than 150 Chapter members. Challenge:Future is really proud of so many pioneering chapters members and their impact!

What the future brings?

Exciting months before C:F Academy and C:F Summit in 2012 and here we are opening new chapters in Rwanda, Uganda, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. To support this growth we are delighted to welcome two new members who are going to join the Chapters Board: Jovana Djurkovic from Montenegro and Ivan Repenko from Russia, both presidents of the chapters in their schools.  That’s not all! Our energetic colleague Bistra Kumbaroska will on daily basis support the communication and coordination among Chapters and hey, you can join our Skype Hours every Monday – Thursday between 13:00 and 16:00 CEST on Skype (ID: challenge.future)

So, how will we shape the future?

Most of our impact will be made through C:F Change - Youth 4 Youth Challenge. We will prepare one project in which all chapters worldwide will be engaged at the same time and will create together as much tangible impact for underprivileged youth.  Besides this, we invite each Chapter and Chapter members to implement their own local actions as well.

We are encouraging Chapters and their members to promote the upcoming Autumn Challenges among their peers and schoolmates by organizing presentations, social nights, and open desks.

We will also meet soon!  During the C:F Academy and Summit 2012, the Chapters will have their own sessions to discuss, plan, and project future developments. Being among the most active members of C:F can reserve you a ticket to meeting many of us in Bled, Slovenia! As a reward of the great effort and energy that chapter members need to invest in the upcoming months, 10 Chapters will be awarded with full or partial scholarships to attend the C:F Academy 2012 in Bled!
