New C:F Competition

by C:F Team on 17th September, 2012 at 10:00 AM CEST

Most of your recent skype questions and help-desk messages showed impatient interest in the timeline and topic of C:F’s upcoming New Competition! Here are some updates from C:F team!

While a CO2 emissions are the highest in history and while youth unemployment is reaching new peaks every month it looks like the world leaders, who convene at Rio+20, fail to get any halfway useful commitment agreed upon. Growing concern about our future has prompted many youths to question what they can do to take action.  C:F team and Advisory board have put lots of effort to come up with a new concept of the Main Competition, a concept that would give reasonable purpose to the passion shared within Challenge:Future community and youth worldwide! The long discussions and multiple brainstorming sessions have resulted with a brand new outfit of C:F’s Main Competition! Not only design-wise, but also structure-wise.

Wish to know more?

All new features, exact topic, guidelines and rules will be officially announced on 28 September 2012, at CEEMAN Annual Conference in South Africa. CEEMAN Annual Conference is a central event held each year in a different country. In two decades of dedicated work in the field of management education, CEEMAN decided to explore the new frontiers in South Africa. C:F recognises the importance of this event gathering world’s most important opinion makers and education experts, thus it will present 2012/2013 Competition in front of all participants on the 3rd day of the conference! At the moment, we will not share any precise details about the topic, but here is one hint to all who are eager to know more: Can we fight poverty through youth engagement? If we create solutions to youth unemployment, are we reaching beyond poverty?

Nonetheless, during one of the conference sessions, our C:F member Samuel Duru from Nigeria (currently living in South Africa) will join the panel discussion on “Innovations to Support the Educational Process”. His presentation will focus on innovative ways of enhancing learning, outside of the traditional classroom setting, pointing Challenge:Future as an examples that truly fits the topic. Congratulations Sam and allow us all to send you our best wishes and positive vibe for making the best out of this experience!
