Blood Donation

The term “Blood Donation” though consist of 13 letters, but the beautiful essence of saving lives behind it, equals million letters. It is a wonderful contribution to share a part of your belonging to the one who needs it. Everyone has average 11 pints in body but the requirement of blood is 8 pints that means everyone have 3 pints surplus (extra). Out of which you can donate ONE point without any harm to his/her body.

Anyone who is aged 16 (though he/she would need parental consent) or older in good health is able to donate blood. There is a gap of almost eight weeks between blood donations.

The body begins replacing the blood you donated immediately. At times, there is weakness in the body, but yes, you can have juice or cookies to resume regular activities after when you are done with donation.

Challenge Future encourages all excellent and good efforts extended by it’s community members, and when it comes to welfare of people and helping the one in need, community members never stop sharing great motivation. It is inspiring to know that C:F community members are engaged in actions which are of real help for others, for example, blood donation. Two amazing C:F young leaders from Pakistan and Russia share their experience of donating blood.

Ivan S Repenko from Russia says,

“I’m a blood donor since 2007. I’m free blood donor that means I don’t get any compensation that was highly widespread in Russia before 2013. People usually donated blood because of money compensation. Being a donor I’ve donated blood and plasma more than 15 times as far as I remember. I can say that I feel even healthier after blood donation than before. I don’t know whether it is due to blood renewal or it’s just self-suggestion. Anyway, I recommend everyone who has permission for blood donation do this. It is wonderful when your blood can really save someones life.”

Syed Mahmood Kazmi from Pakistan says,

“I donate blood and organize many blood donation camps and drives. I believe that donating blood gives you eternal satisfaction. It’s just to make our God happy by donating blood to the needy people. I always motivate my fellow youth to donate blood because it can save anyone’s life. According to my beliefs, “Saving a life is like saving whole humanity”. SO it’s really a great deed to serve humanity by donating blood.”

Donate your blood, if you are able to donate, think yourself a blessed individual, if you are healthier enough to donate your blood!

I have been donation blood. but the only motivation to me is - IF I M HEALTHY ENOUGH THEN AS GRATEFULNESS TO GOD I SHOULD DONATE MY BLOOD WHO DOES NOT HAVE SUCH BLESSINGS OF HEALTHY BODY. For me blood donation is one of the way to say THANKS to god for such a beautiful life.
