Challenge:Youth “Skill-up!”

by C:F Team on 10th May, 2013 at 10:53 AM CEST

Today, more than ever, it is important to mobilize youth in obtaining new knowledge, skills and experiences. Today, more than ever, it is crucial to encourage the spirit of initiative, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. We all have problems, but people with entrepreneurship attitude find the solution and actually do something about it. Today, more than ever, it is inevitable to stimulate non-formal education and offer learning experiences for personal and professional development of youth. Can you find reasons not to join this global trend?

C:F is inviting you to DISCOVER the lacking ‘soft skills’ among young people in your community, and take action by DEVELOPING and ORGANIZING a youth empowerment training event(s), through which young people can acquire skills that improve their opportunities for livelihood. Millions of young people are lacking in basic life skills, especially in developing countries, and this could be solved through training and experiential learning.

The Skill-up Challenge is an opportunity for you to help as many young people who are sidelined in the national youth development schemes in your country, as you can. C:F Chapters Network members, Local Representatives and Action Team members are strongly encouraged to partake and compete in the competition. All events that have been organized by C:F members from December 2012 till today are eligible to compete.

And most importantly this competition is your sporting chance at securing a ticket to the C:F Summit 2013 – summit scholarships up for grabs! Submit your entry now, time is running out! Deadline: 29th May, 2013.
