Final countdown for Challenge:Future Summit 2013

by C:F Team on 17th September, 2013 at 10:40 AM CEST

We are just a few days before the start of the most-awaited event in the Challenge:Future calendar, the third annual C:F Summit.  The team is working around the clock behind the scenes to prepare the final details of the program and the setup of the venues in Maribor, Bled and Ljubljana.  We are eager to welcome more than 80 young leaders, innovators and creators from more than three dozen countries from 20-26 September 2013.

The energy is building and social media is coming alive with anticipation from C:F members from around the world.  The first host city, Maribor, should be ready for a flood of #commit2MB tweets declaring participants’ commitments to enhancing the youth employment situation in Maribor.  Hayley Lapalme, who will be a facilitator at this year’s summit writes, “I have been looking forward to returning to Slovenia to join this dynamic, intelligent, inspiring group of global youth… coming together to see how international collaboration, sustainable development, and social entrepreneurship can enhance human experience and how we do business across the globe.”

The Summit itself will amalgamate 5 amazing and high-challenging events.  It starts with C:F Academy, where the summit participants will have the chance to tackle case studies,  using teamwork and diverse experiences to design innovative solutions.  The floor will be also belong to youth participants at the C:F Youth Forum and throughout the conference through youth speaker spotlights.  On the 24th September, the summit moves to the capital Ljubljana to host the C:F Business Forum 2013 under the slogan Big ideas for Boosting Growth and Creating Jobs. In the final two days, we are back to back in Bled. The education forum and the C:F Gala Event will take place and we will found out who wins this season’s competitions.

It’s time to get your rest, reflect on your best ideas, and pack your cultural garb - we are counting down the hours until Slovenia comes alive with the energy and ideas of some of the world’s most globally-minded youth.
