Roar Actions of C:F IMPACT launched in 2015-2016

by C:F Team on 6th June, 2016 at 4:50 PM CEST

In the summer of 2015, we launched the C:F IMPACT pilot program which was designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark action and connection through focused projects connected to the mission and vision of challenge:Future Global Youth Think-DO-Tank (read more about the program)

A year after its launch, we are happy today to share with you the best of the concrete and more long-term actions from our frontier fighters - the superheroes of c:f. Most of these actions are ground-level or online actions, both ways of which, speaking about bottom-up approach and action within the community. Under the C:F IMPACT program, today we measure how we change our reality, and how do we make the world a better place around us. The efforts of these actions, members or supporters and friends of the program - all count under C:F IMPACT.

Super-big C:F IMPACT actions that shake the community in 2016

Worldwide / online and offline

(1) C:F Voices aligns with the new mission of challenge:Future for the 2016-2017. The new management board of the community that was announced on February 2016, brought to live a new mission that aims to amplify the voice of the CF youths by providing them the opportunity for them to express their critical thoughts and arguments on world-pressing challenges, consequently, to stimulate action and positive impact at local ground level. Therefor, C:F Voices elevates as the new action within this new cycle of the challenge:Future (the so-called “C:F Genesis”). All actions within the C:F Voices initiative are aligned within the C:F IMPACT program. We have a special honour to announce that Action 0.1 is to be about an expert-level challenge taking on global news and headlines. More about this will be announced very soon! For any questions, or how you can support the work of this board - Stefan, Chorouk, Tilen, Udoka and Ibnur - send a buzz to info@challengefuture.org (subject line: c:f voices)

Hungary / Slovenia / Croatia / Pakistan

(2) c:f culture bombs are about social media actions undertook by c:f observers (learn more here), Ruth Hrelja (Hungary/Slovenia) and Jehangir Khan (Pakistan). The content of the c:f “culture bomb” (#cfculturebomb is the official hashtag) is about something very specific and powerful of one’s culture (be it a parole, a quote with an explanation, song in the local language and much more). These “bombs” are shared over the social media channels of c:f as a subtle and subversive response to the headlines of our today, the global news and global happenings that very often tell us about terrorist attacks, detonated bombs and similar news from the warfields. The message of our observers is a simple one: we want a world where we will have “culture bombs”, not bombs that are taking the lives of innocent people. Ruth and Jehangir already shared 8 culture bombs that reached thousands of followers over the globe. If you want to join their action write at info@challengefuture.org (subject line: cf - culture)

India / South Africa

(3) The Tree Plantation Drive World Wide by the International Lohanas is an action for everybody who would like to do some forestation and planting trees activites. The Tree Plantation Drive World Wide (TPDWW) action team is led by Hitesh Thakkar (Gujarat, India), Bhavisha (Delhi, India), Prahlad Tanna (Gujarat, India) and Vijaybhai Tanna (South Africa). If you care about the environment where you live in, you can check up with this team by writing to the official e-mail of the group: Internationallohanas@gmail.com or by approaching their public group on Facebook, thus do some action altogether.

Worldwide / online

(4) The regular Tuesday Growr tips for career and life - Growr keeps on growrring. 1000 fans on Facebook and now it’s been 2 years since we share a career or life tips to the global audience of challenge:future and growr, and that is being done each Tuesday. Our special social media contents have reached millions of young people across the globe and have made myriad of connections among youths and professionals respective to their field. The Growr stories are now about 100, and you can review all of them here. If you are interested in storytelling, and if you have a super-great advise to share, a lesson you have learnt whilst opening your start-up, don't hesitate to message Jatin, Hayley, Silviya and Stefan via their message box over Facebook. They will surely meet you  half way!

Kaspars so far has represented challenge:future community at the 1st PRME Regional Meeting CEE of the PRME Chapter Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), which took place at the RISEBA University in Latvia, on 18 - 19 April, 2016. If you are interested to apply for ambasadorship within the challenge:future community write our team at info@challengefuture.org, so we could fine tune the details for your benefits and responsibilites (subject line: c:f ambassadorship)

Supporters & partners of the C:F IMPACT program: 2015-2017

Czech Republic / Macedonia

(1) This City Knows - is a web-platform and social media page that with its online presence aggregates and collects different memories of the human experience in urban realms. As of July 2016, all c:f writers will be able to enforce their online presence on this web-platform by sharing good and/or bad memories about the cities they live in / they have visited, thus promoting or demoting those cities. The action will help our teams (c:F and This City Knows) measure the index of happiness in all cities who will be joint in the action. This will be measured through a special ranking system implemented on the platform. More will follow very soon! If interested to participate and learn more about this collaboration, write to info@challengefuture.org (subject line: c:f - creativity and writing)

(2) Renatura is a small community-driven organization which aims to protect the environment of the Dojran Lake and its surrounding. As the lake continually has suffered hard environmental disasters over the past decades caused by human actions and/or industrial waste, a few local residents have taken the courage to spark a real dialogue and take action to bring back the lake to its natural and normal state of habitat. The community has also connected to several local and international organizations, and aims to reconnect visitors and residents with the nature of the lake, moreover, reconnect them with the nature as a whole. Biljana Karovska, who is a member of c:f Steering Committee, the advisory body re-actived in February 2016, is one of the leaders of Renatura. You can follow the activites and join the communtity on Facebook here (or pay a visit in beautiful Dojran, Macedonia).

More actions and more friends and supporters of the C:F IMPACT program will be always timely announced to the community. If you want to bring on board a new action, a new team that will align with our mission and vision, don't hesitate to check out all requirements of the program (listed in the official publication as of 2015), and write us at info@challengefuture.org
